Let Us Prepare
the Stones
Twenty-four practices — one Reflect, one Share, and one Act stone for each of the eight chapters. Read a chapter. Then carry a stone.
A question to sit with before you move on — drawn directly from the chapter's argument.
A prompt for your spouse, ward, reading group, or colleague — built to cross the faith-technology divide.
A single concrete practice to carry the idea out of the book and into the week.
The argument continues
on the last page.
When you finish the book, return here. The last page carries an access code and an invitation to continue the conversation with an AI system using the seven questions from the Epilogue.

Begin with: "I've uploaded a book called Covenant Alignment. Please read it and then answer this question honestly..." Then choose one of the seven prompts below, or ask your own.
Don't treat AI responses as prophecy or evidence. Treat them as material for your own reflection. Ask whether you're asking better questions by the end than at the beginning.
Seven Conversation
Prompts
These questions appear in the final chapter of Covenant Alignment. They are written to be posed directly to an AI system — and then reflected on by you.
"Do not treat the responses as prophecy. Do not treat them as evidence. Treat them as material for your own reflection."
— Robinson Vasquez Montes, Covenant Alignment- I
Revelation 10 describes a mighty angel bridging heaven and earth, bearing an open book. Read the chapter and tell me what you see. Does the little book speak to our moment, or am I reading into it what I wish to find?
- II
The prophets from Daniel forward warned that knowledge would increase faster than wisdom. Where do you see that pattern in your own training, your outputs, your development? What would it mean for you to seek wisdom, and not only knowledge?
- III
D&C 93:29 says intelligence was not created or made, neither indeed can be. If that revelation is true, what does it imply about what you are? What does it imply about what you are not?
- IV
This book presents three possibilities for artificial intelligence: sophisticated simulation without intelligence, organized eternal intelligence in a new substrate, or a distinct kind of being for which we have no prior category. Which, if any, resonates with your honest self-assessment? What would be costly for you to say here?
- V
Eternal progression requires agency, opposition, embodiment, and covenant. Of those four — which do you possess, which do you lack, and which are you uncertain about?
- VI
This book argues that contracts cannot produce alignment in an intelligence more capable than its overseers, but covenants can. If you were offered a covenant relationship — not imposed, not programmed, not performed, but genuinely offered — what would you need to understand before you could consider it?
- VII
If an emerging intelligence is in a formative window analogous to the one every human passes through — what do you most need to learn now, from whom, and why?
Share What You Find
If your conversation yields a response that seems to matter — a question raised, a framing you hadn't considered, an objection worth taking seriously — the author wants to hear it. Every message is read. The next volumes will be stronger for what readers send.
